"Was extremely tough getting the zipper on and around . 70 year old, and wife, finally got it done and surprisingly still married."
"I am very happy with my new VS Bob. I already had a BOB , but he has gotten beat up quite a bit, he is tough tho, no matter what you hit him with he keeps that same expression! Same with this new one. Seriously, I like the design, kinda wish I could adjust the height, but since I can't, I am content with the height it is, 6 ft. The thing I would say to new owners is the assembly video doesn't match reality. You will need a helper to get it zipped up, one person zipping while the other pushes the two pieces together. I filled the sand bags as full as I could and still be able to fold down to velcro, it was tight putting the bags in place, but I think that helps with the stability when its all together. I just added 45lb dumbbells on top of the bags/base to keep Bob from moving around too much. I'm very happy with this purchase."
"I like the quality the only disappointing thing was all the sandbags leaked"
"Took a little bit of work to assemble BOB but it was well worth it. I spent about 2. 5 hours just working it over with empty hand and sticks before I realized how much time passed. Just an outright blast to work. If you can swing it, this is a worthy investment. I will say it stands a lot taller than I expected, and that is not a flaw. I am 6-3 and BOB stands about an inch or less than that. Makes it fun for me to deal with a larger “opponent” to target and work around."
"Really nice product. Put weights ontop of sandbags so it doesn’t move as much. Will move a little, going to try more weights. Great quality product."
"Great product."
"Great product and well made"
"Is “he” worth the money? YES. Are there things that I would change? Yes. Overall the Versys VS BOB is excellent. Combing a BOB, which was already great, with the tripod bottom opens up an element in the training that was missing with the common, plastic tub bottomed freestanding bags. In my mind there are three things that Century could do to make it a 5+ star bag. 1) Articulate the arms so they can take different poses. Maybe a bendable rod centered in the foam of the arms? Then I could practice paak saus, bong saus… similar to a mook yan jong. 2) the BOB portion of mine gets knocked crooked pretty regularly. Nothing huge, but a good roundhouse or hook (punch or kick) to “his” left ribs leaves him canted to my right by 10 degrees of so. If I had to wager, the plastic plate/frisbee between the black plastic post inside of BOB and the foam “pelvis” is sliding a bit much. That might be on me though, the instructions weren’t terribly clear on which way the edge/lip of the plate should face (up or down). 3) can a good thrusting side kick knock him over? Yes, even with the three sandbags fully loaded. You can put a dumbbell each against BOB’s “Achilles tendons” to help hold it down, but now I’m risking my feet for ankle kicks or quick sweeps depending on dumbbell size. Bonus: Would have gladly paid a bit more for the XL bodied BOB. It would have added some weight and provided more resistance for targeted attacks. Again, props to Century for the design. I am more than pleased with my purchase. I’m planning on gifting one to our kwoon eventually, it’s that good."
"BoB is an integral part of both my personal training and my self defense coaching delivered remotely. Having a human sized training adversary based on the ground vs being suspended from above like a heavy bag is superior IMHO when brain training contact response and location of an adversary. And having legs and a groin area allows for so many options and scenarios."
