Nearly Perfect

"I was looking for a decent Chinese style spear to start learning a Taijii spear form while staying on budget. My search brought me to some dubious and reputable sites, but even if the price of the spear was good, the taxes and shipping were horrendous. Little did I know Century had one for a decent price, though to be honest, the shipping still hurt a little. The bright side of that is that my spear arrived much faster than I had expected and much faster than the other places would have gotten to me. It arrived in perfect condition and was well protected and packaged. The height of the spear was as listed about 6. 5' (for a beginner just right, but might have helped if I was shorter though). I was a little disappointed that the "mane" (I don't know the true name of the red hair near the tip) did not seem as full as I had anticipated. The shaft was also a bit on the small side circumference wise. I expected it to be at least like a bo in that area. Despite those qualities, the spear functions perfectly for the purpose that I have intended for it - learning a Chinese spear form. To sum it all up, good spear for a decent price, but the shorter you are the better for this item. If you're over six feet, look elsewhere or rig your own."

Great quality, great gift

"We gave this as a gift to our son when he graduated from high school this year. He's a 3rd level black belt in taw kwon do and loves working with weapons. He has wanted this spear for a while, and when he opened it, he was thrilled! It is high-quality and very well made. Great purchase for anyone interested in weapons for martial arts."
