ok, sorta

"It is ok. Was looking for a good solo training sword. I knew going in this was not intended for contact, get a solid wood bokken for that. I wanted a good feel and also needed a scabbard. The magnet, while a good idea isn't executed well, and doesn't work. This thing is clunky. It's a station wagon and I was looking for something that handled well in the turns. Years ago Century had a bamboo practice sword. It was light and handled well. I still have it but it doesn't have a scabbard (hmm maybe a project idea). The aluminum sword with scabbard is a much better option. This sword could be a 3. 5 star rating if is was less expensive. For what it is, it's overpriced. I personally wouldn't even pay the wholesale price for it. Over $100 after taxes and delivery is insane. I run a marital arts school and ordered this to see about possibly using it for an upcoming seminar. Now all I can think to do with it is to use it as a giveaway, but even then I sorta feel bad giving it to someone. Think of this as novelty or a toy but not for serious practice."

Blade is smaller size than

"Blade is smaller size than expected. To much play in the scabbard and magnet doesn't hold that well. The handle is a bit oversized. It will work for practice as long as you don't hit anything."

Bokken sword

"These swords are more just to swing around. I bought 2 and 1 broke after the second use but they do feel and look nice"

"I once bought one of these as a training tool from my old instructor and trained with it every day until it broke 2 years later. Its strong and has little weight to it without making it paperweight. An overall great training tool. 6/5 stars from me"
