Cut and Sizing DiIsappoints
"Have not fought in this yet, but I am a short heavyweight. I am 5'10" and 235. No gut. just big legs from squats and I am thickly built like a samoan. Bought an XL cuz only have a 44 inch chest and 38 legs and like all pacific islanders, i have a butt. Not a fat butt. Just a well developed glute muscle. I can barely get my head through the shirt opening. The shirt has high armpits like a sartorial suit would be cut. Not uncomfortable, but certainly not a shirt you would say it is easy to move in. The stretch material on the sides make it better, but it's not something I want to fight in. pants are okay. material is not a stretch material at all. it is light, which is nice. but it should have a 2 way stretch or at least stretch panels on the crotch gussett. i am not sure how freely i can kick in this thing. if it weren't too late, i would send it back. This is not a knock at Century. This is a good company. The design on this just fell short. oh, why the extended stand up collar? This is annoying. No gi in the universe has this, except in the chinese styles, but that would never be considered a sports uniform. The material seems well durable and will last. It's just the cut. For people who are built with a more slight build, this would work just fine. For a stocky and thickly built fighter, find something else."
