Needs a lot of work

"I’m 5-10 180 and purchased size 5 based on sizing chart. Exceptionally long by 7in easy needing a tailor. Pant has a very deep elastic waist 3-4” that is too tight for my 33” waist. The drawstring is unusable, not long enough to tie a knot. The inseam is deep, 17” compared to my Ronin at 15. I cut 2 “ off elastic waist and it helped with tightness and inseam as I don’t want the pant 2 in above my navel. Overall, I’d pass or try the 6 and and shrink it in hot wash/dry. The weight was a 12 and I do like the fabric which is why I chose 3 stars."

Way too small in the rear

"If you have curves, order up a size or two! I fit within the size 4 weight limits, but could not kick in these pants. They were too tight in the hips."

Might fit if you're built like a beanpole!

"These pants are WAY too small in the waist. I've bought the size 3 of these pants twice in the past and they were a perfect fit, but these current style pants are ridiculous. Way too tight in the waist and much too long. DO NOT BUY! I also bought a pair of size 5 with this order for a friend, and the pants don't come close to fitting around his waist. Now I'm stuck with paying for shipping both pairs of the pants back. Not happy."

Pretty decent

"I got this gear primarily to work on my old martial art. I always liked the heavier weight doboks/gis from my Kenpo days so I went with that. I have been buying size 5 Judo gis for the last 10 years and those have always fit me well. The size 5 pants I got in this order seemed a little tight at the waist and the legs were maybe four inches too long, so that was a bit of a surprise. I planned to lose weight anyway and I can hem the pants and they’ll be fine. What I know I can count on is that this top and bottom will serve me well for the next 20 years or better. The Century heavyweight gi I got for Kenpo in 1989 was still going strong when I gave it away to a new black belt in 2012. I know I can expect that same level of quality from this top and bottom."
