Lightweight, Versatile Protection
"I have been using these gloves since before Century acquired the license. They are my go-to for freestyle shinai sparring without going full Kendo. These gloves are excellent for hard weapon sparring because they offer good protection and they're not so clunky that you need to change how you grip the weapon. Larger, clunkier gloves offer more padding but can mitigate your range of motion. Action Flex gloves don't. I use these gloves with shinais and very rarely will get an injury. Usually, the only injury will be if you're struck on the *side* of one of your fingers; the hard padding is on top of the gloves. The gloves also protect up to about the middle of the wrist. Action Flex gloves are cheaper than lacrosse gloves from Dick's, even after shipping."
